Cheth joined Oxfam in 2013 as Grant Officer for East Asia Region based in Cambodia and has been entrusted to take the position of Saving for Change Programme Coordinator in early 2016.
Before joining Oxfam, Cheth had worked for World Vision International Cambodia over 12 years on a range of roles in community development for the alleviation of poverty. Much of his professional work focuses on community development in various sectors including; economic and agriculture development, water sanitation and hygiene, maternal child health and nutrition, education, and mainstreaming disaster risk reduction. This gives him strong fundamental in developing his professional career in promoting women leadership and economic empowerment, working with grass root level community through Saving for Change programme and Community-based Enterprise Development of Oxfam in Cambodia. Cheth got degree in economics specialized in entrepreneurship and master degree in management.
Cheth have successfully completed various relevant professional training such as microfinance, social enterprise development, private sector engagement, gender analysis, women’s empowerment to shape his skill in overseeing the Saving for Change programme.
