Shakya, from Nepal, joined Oxfam in Asia Regional Water Governance Team as Partnership Coordinator for Mekong Regional Water Governance Program (MRWGP) and Transboundary Rivers of South Asia (TROSA) Project since Sep 2019. Though she has more than 10 years of experience working in development sector mainly in advocacy, influencing, campaigns for human rights, WASH and water governance working closely with partners in Nepal, this is her first international job. “The experience working in Cambodia has been exciting for me with everyday numerous things to learn and share. My super energetic and tireless teams have rubbed off the quality on me as well. No matter how long the journey this be, the knowledge and skill I will gain from here will help to ‘sharpen the saw’ for me. I am proud of my teams of their work and their seriousness about ensuring development and rights of people we work with in Mekong and South Asia,” said Samira Shakya.
