Socheanik graduated in the field of Finance and Banking and worked with (RtR), MAG and WVI, before joining Oxfam as the Regional Programme Support Officer for TROSA. Hailing from Cambodia's Battambang province, "Nik", as she prefers to be called by her colleagues supported different INGOs and worked in rural communities.
At Oxfam and TROSA, her work has expanded regionally over four countries along the Ganges-Brahmaputra-Megha (GBM) Salween and Teesta basins in South Asia. With greater challenges, comes the need to be adaptive, and this is where support systems are crucial to help find better solutions in water governance, she believes.
Inspired by a great teamwork culture at Oxfam, Nik stresses how important it is to share and learn from each other.
