Oxfam helped create a series of platforms for rural communities to engage with local government at both the provincial and commune levels. The Cambodia Land and Environment Action Network (CLEAN) is a provincial-level advocacy and policy forum for authorities, NGOs and community-based organizations.
Access to Justice Committees for the Poor (AJCs) operate at both commune and provincial level to resolve disputes over land and natural resource issues, and give affected and vulnerable populations a means of communicating with officials.
Local authorities now view these networks as vital, and they have become integral parts of land and natural resource management in the community.
