Rith earned a Master's Degree in Public Policy and Management from the University of Melbourne, Australia. He is so passionate about working in social protection settings and decentralisation policy reform. Rith experienced formulating policy and managing multi-million dollar and institutional donors funded projects in the field of humanitarian assistance, election transparency, administrative and eye health decentralisation policy reforms.
Here with Oxfam, he oversees an initiative called "Inclusive National Social Protection Initiatives that Respond to the Needs of Apparel Industry Employees" (INSPIRE).
"I believe in social equity. And I am so inspired by Oxfam's vision toward building a resilient society where everyone, particularly women and vulnerable communities, has access to equality opportunity, decent living and social protection themes," said Rith. "Oxfam is a multicultural and inclusive workplace. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to work with people from different disciplines and fields of expertise. They come with rich experiences and best practices, and we work together towards a common goal: building a resilient society."
Rith has received several awards in recognition of his contribution to community development. He has been awarded the Australia Awards by the Government of Australia in 2018, and the Leaders in Communities Award by the University of Melbourne in 2020.
