Sakara said that he is very proud to work with Oxfam as he is inspired by Oxfam's goal, mission and vision in empowering people to create a future that is secure, just, and free from poverty. As the Coordinator of Fair Finance Cambodia, Sakara works very closely with coalition members, partners, finance institutions, government and regulators and other relevant stakeholders to reduce the negative impacts of cross-border investments on human rights, the environment and climate change, particularly those made by multinational financial institutions, banks and insurers to be more adherence to responsible and sustainable finance standards while increasing inclusive economic development.
Sakara holds a Master's degree in Development Management from the Norton University of Cambodia. Sakara has more than 20 years of extensive professional experience in organizational development and capacity building, women's economic empowerment, education, gender, health, advocacy and livelihood development and HIV/AIDS.
Sakara has a strong knowledge, skills and experience in project/programme design/formulation and management including project planning, budgeting, staffing, implementation, monitoring and evaluation and reporting. Moreover, Sakara has experienced in working with different stakeholders including donors, private sectors, government, CSOs and networks.
